China 6-22 Satsuma Mandarin Budwood

Citrus unshiu.

Selected from fields in Hubei and Sichuan that had been devastated after a very bad freeze from the branches that had survived. Three selection characteristics were cold hardiness, fruit quality and tree vigour. China 6-22 has acceptable tree vigour and fruit quality with good cold hardiness.

Rootstocks of accession:  Carrizo citrange, C-35 citrange.

Season of ripeness in the climatic conditions of Riverside, California:  October to November.
