Freedom Apple

Freedom apple trees get their name from being free from the diseases scab, fireblight and mildew. Freedom was introduced by Cornell University in Geneva NY in 1983 after 23 years of testing with no spraying, a big achievement considering apples are one of the most challenging fruits to grow organically.

Fruit: Good old fashioned large red apple.
Storage: 3 months.
Use: Just right for apple sauce, juice and fresh eating.

Pollination: Needs a pollenizer.
