Scientific name: Adalia bipunctata.
Adalia bipunctata, the two spot ladybird, two spotted ladybug or two spotted lady beetle, is a carnivorous beetle of the family Coccinellidae found throughout the holarctic region. Adalia bipunctata is very common in western and central Europe, also native to North America and is commonly introduced and imported as a biological control agent for integrated pest management, applied as natural enemies of plant pests.

Mode of action:
The ladybirds feed on aphids and lay eggs in the aphid colonies. After emergence, the larvae also feed on aphids. Visually, successful control results in aphids becoming entirely consumed.

Application:
- Open the bag and attach it to the affected tree near the first branch with a nail or wire stitch
- Apply 1 bag per 25 cm stem diameter or a maximum of 3 bags per tree.
Dosage:
The dosage of Aphidalia depends on climate and the size of the trees and should always be adjusted to the particular situation. Start introduction as soon as the first aphids are detected on the trees. Use at least one bag per tree and up to 3 bags for large trees.
Environmental conditions:
- Adalia bipunctata is most effective at temperatures between 15°C and 30°C / 59°F and 86°F.
Storage:
- Apply as soon as possible after receipt. If necessary, the product can be stored for 1 to 2 days.
- Store at temperatures of 8°C to 10°C / 47°F to 50°F.
- Store in the dark.
