Carroll Apple

Carroll is a cold hardy, dependable annual early season producer much less susceptible to scab than its parent Melba, released by the Morden Research Station in Manitoba in 1961.

Flavor: Mild and tender aromatic flavor with a sweet and tart balance.
Fruit: Large, crisp apple with greenish yellow skin washed with red and white flesh that is slow to turn brown when sliced.Storage: nearly 2 months. 
Use: Fresh eating, sauce and pies.
Hardiness: Zone 3.
Ripening: Harvest in mid to late August.
Pollination: Needs a pollenizer.
