Collard Greens - Choux Verts

Collard greens are loose-leafed brassica hybrids developed for their edible leaves. Collard is classified in the Acephala cultivar group: cruciferous vegetables that do not form a main head. The thick, slightly bitter crunchy leaves can be available year round but are the sweetest and more nutritious in the cold, the first frost thereafter. Collard plants thrive effortlessly in almost all conditions, icy cold and dry heat.
