Prairie Sensation Apple

Prairie Sensation is an extremely hardy apple tree variety introduced in 2006 by the University of Saskatchewan, giving a premier dessert apple selection to fruit growers in the far north facing colder climates like the Canadian prairies.

Flavor: Pleasantly mild yet intensely aromatic firm, crisp and juicy apple.
Fruit: Large red over green apple.
Storage: Stores well.
Use: Fresh eating, baking, pies, jams, and jellies.
Hardiness: Zone 2.
Ripening: Harvest in mid September.
Pollination: Needs a pollenizer.
