Casino Apricot

Casino, one of the very hardy and reliable prairie apricot varieties, is an open pollinated seedling of the Westcot apricot, newly introduced in 2012.

Fruit: Golden yellow, 4cm/ 0.5’’ fruit adorned with a rosy blush when ripe with firm, orange, freestone, fine textured and flavorful flesh.
Use: Tree ripened apricots are eaten fresh and cooked with sugar or dried to preserve for long term storage.
Hardiness: Zone 3.
Ripening: Harvest in late July.
Pollination: Self fertile although will benefit from pollination with another apricot tree.
