Hydrangea paniculata, native to the far east and south of the Asia continent, is a deciduous shrub or small tree that grows in sparse forests and thickets on valleys and mountain slopes. Large conical panicles of lime fertile flowers together with cream sterile flowers are borne in summer through autumn, emerging green to create a two toned effect and fade to a rich pink. Prune panicled hydrangea in spring to obtain larger flower heads.
