Hydrangea paniculata Wim’s Red Fire And Ice

Hydrangea paniculata, native to the far east and south of the Asia continent, is a deciduous shrub or small tree that grows in sparse forests and thickets on valleys and mountain slopes. Large conical panicles of white fertile flowers together with pink sterile flowers are borne in summer through autumn, emerging green to create a two toned effect and turn red in the fall. Prune panicled hydrangea in spring to obtain larger flower heads.
