Double Early Tulip or peony tulip is valued for its densely packed multiple layers of petals giving rise to a substantial, lush flower head on a strong and sturdy stem. This tulip is resilient to weather elements and has a long blooming period.
One of the earliest tulips to flower, effecting a burst of vibrant colour when most plants are still emerging from winter dormancy very early in the spring. Ideal for forcing and container growing. Plant in full sun or part shade. Hardy to zone 3.
Cut flower favourite. Fragrant colour changing tulip blooms.
