Perseo Chicory

Perseo is a very early Chioggia type chicory with striking round, dark red heads accented by thick white ribs and veins. Compact 3-4" heads mature in just 55 days, allowing for close plant spacing in your garden.
Perfect for spring and fall growing seasons. For fall harvest, plant during the third week of June, near the summer solstice. Chop the tightly packed heads into salads for dramatic colour and mild bitterness that adds flavour complexity to any dish.
Heads are fully mature when well-filled, though you can harvest and enjoy them at any stage of development.
