Smith Red Blood Orange Plant

Citrus sinensis. A unique citrus variety often classified with blood oranges due to its deep red-pigmented flesh and red-blushed rind, it is technically a natural mutation of a Valencia orange. One of the sweetest pigmented citrus varieties available, featuring a rich, juicy flavour. Large fruit with a thin, leathery rind that develops a heavy red blush. The flesh ranges from orange streaked to deep burgundy, is very juicy, and contains very few seeds. Matures in late winter and holds exceptionally well on the tree into late spring, unlike many blood oranges.
