Sisyrinchium bellum, commonly known as Western Blue-Eyed Grass, is a charming perennial ground cover that thrives in partial shade. Despite its grass-like foliage, it's actually more closely related to iris. This versatile plant grows 10-40cm tall depending on soil and light conditions, producing delicate, tidy flowers from spring through mid-summer. Native to Oregon, California, and higher altitudes extending to Baja California, it excels in containers and mass plantings. Not suitable for high-traffic areas.
