Hargrand Apricot

Hargrand, introduced in 1980, is one of the best apricot trees released by the Harrow Research Station who has cultivated some of the most dependable and productive apricot varieties available to commercial growers and home gardeners, with impressive all around disease resistance and feature a late bloom period to make up for apricot flowers being susceptible to early spring frosts.

Fruit: The firm, yellow orange fruit is typically very large, up to 6 cm/ 2.5”.
Use: Fresh eating, preserve cooked with sugar and dehydrate into dried apricot.
Hardiness: Zone 4.
Ripening: Harvest in early August.
Pollination: Self fertile.
Predominant characteristic: Late blooming apricot.
