Mercenaria Mercenaria Clam Seed MA

The hard clam, Mercenaria mercenaria, is also known as the round clam, hard shelled clam or Northern quahog. The edible marine bivalve mollusk is native to the eastern shores of the American continents.

This hard clam brood stock is from native Cape Cod quahogs, selected from Falmouth wild stock. These animals are tested to be free from all disease prior to shipment, and broodstock are selected for fast growth, hard shell and high meat yield.

Available from June to late summer, depending on seed size.
