Citrus × limonia is a highly vigorous, drought tolerant and widely used citrus rootstock, particularly in South Africa, the Orient, Brazil and Asia, favoured for inducing early heavy bearing and high volume fruit production. It is tolerant to tristeza virus and resistant to soil borne diseases. It is highly adaptable to various soil types, including poor, sandy soils and produces vigorous trees that can be easily dwarfed when roots are confined, and is compatible with most citrus scions.
