Shasta Gold Mandarin Plant

A vigorous, spreading citrus tree known for producing large, seedless fruit with a rich, sweet flavour and a deep orange rind. Developed by the University of California, Riverside, this variety is a hybrid of Temple tangor, and Dancy and Encore mandarins, making it a late-season citrus that ripens from mid-February through May. The fruit is large and oblate with a deep orange rind that is relatively thin and easy to peel. Described as having a rich sweetness with a high juice content averaging 49%.
