Thick, flat, oval pods in cream and red grow to about 15cm (6") on compact, semi-runner plants perfect for cool climates. Reaching just 35-45cm (14-18") tall, these heritage beans thrive in smaller spaces. Harvest immature for snap beans or let them mature for drying—the primary use. Cooked dried beans develop a creamy texture with mild, nutty flavour that pairs beautifully with chiles, garlic, and other bold seasonings, making them ideal for refritos and bean dishes.
