Clarkia amoena, commonly known as Farewell-to-Spring, is a charming annual native to the Pacific coast from British Columbia to the San Francisco Bay area. Growing 30–45 cm (12–18") tall, this easy-to-grow flower produces delicate, cup-shaped blooms in shades of crimson and pink with variable markings. Direct sow seeds after the last frost, do not bury them, as they need light to germinate. Sow at two-week intervals for continuous blooms throughout the season. Clarkia thrives in flower borders and patio containers alike, requiring minimal care. It may self-sow but does not become invasive.
Average seeds per gram: 2064.
