Florida Pearl® June Bearing Strawberry

Pearl is the first white fruited strawberry released by the University of Florida that has a pure white colour with red seeds. Florida Pearl is the result of persistent hybrid crossings of descendants of Japanese white strawberries and modern red strawberries by experts at the University of Florida. Also known as pineberries for their pineapple like aroma, similar white berry hybrids are generally smaller than their bigger and redder counterparts, with a slightly softer texture. This remarkable exception captures the absolute best features of both. Large Florida Pearl berries are white inside and out with bright red seeds, and turn a lovely blush pink when ripe. One of the largest pineberry strawberries on the market, dwarfing all others, these giant white berries turn heads in the garden, market stalls and fruit salads.
