Very productive black raspberry canes with a less intense raspberry flavour. This variety is vigorous, requiring trellising with 3' to 4' spacing within the row. In addition to the fall crop, Niwot can also produce an excellent floricane crop, ripening slightly earlier than Jewel Black. Allow the plants to establish for 2 to 3 years before double cropping.
