Black Beauty Organic Aubergine

Dark purple to almost black skinned, glossy, oblong fruits that form early on sturdy plants. This heirloom variety has been grown for over 100 years and is a heavy producer; yielding up to 12 fruits per plant when given plenty of heat. For best results, grow under a cloche or use plastic mulch over the soil.
Even without extra heat support, Black Beauty will produce eight to ten fruits per plant in coastal gardens. The variety performs exceptionally well in containers five gallons or larger; half barrels are ideal. Perfect for gardeners seeking reliable, classic eggplant production.
