Vaniglia Sanguigno Blood Orange Plant

The Vanilla Blood Orange, or Mango Orange is a unique Italian citrus variety with remarkably low-acid. Sweet fruit with a bright orange peel and pink to dark purple flesh. Flowers are white, sweetly scented and appear in late winter, early spring even in lower light levels. Lacks the typical tartness or tang of most oranges, offering a mild, rounded sweetness.Unlike traditional blood oranges that get their red colour from anthocyanin, the pink-to-orange flesh is coloured by lycopene, like the Cara Cara orange.
