Arum Italicum is known for its spring white flowers that mature into flamboyant red fruit for the summer. The foliage comes out in early winter. This plant is cultivated as an ornamental plant in traditional and woodland shade gardens. It can be invasive in some areas far from its origins, particularly the Pacific Northwest. 

Caution: The fruits, leaves and rhizomes of this plant are rich in poisonous oxalates, ingestion may be fatal.
