Redfield Red Fleshed Apple

The Redfield apple is a cross between Wolf River and a Niedzwetzkyana crabapple released in 1938 by the Geneva NY research station. Considered too tart for fresh eating, Redfield makes wonderful cider, jelly and pies. The tree's dark reddish bark, bronze red foliage and striking two toned pink blossoms add beauty and colour to every season.
Harvest in late September.
Hardy down to zone 3.
Needs a pollenizer.
