Royal Red®, LJ-1000, is a cultivar of Honeycrisp apple from Washington state with a more uniform red coloured skin and somewhat improved storage life.

Flavor: Well balanced sweet tart flavor profile.
Fruit: Medium to large crisp apple with a high juice content.
Storage: Can be stored for a few months, retaining their crispness when refrigerated.
Use: Fresh eating an baking, the apples retain their texture in pies and tarts.
Hardiness: Zone 3.
Ripening: Harvest in late September.
Pollination: Needs a pollenizer for cross pollination.
