Cortland Heirloom Apple

An old favourite, Cortland was the first apple released by the NY Research Station in Cornell in 1915. Cortland apple trees are hardy and reliable fruit producers.
Flavor: Sweet and juicy with a hint of tartness.
Fruit: Tender, delicious snow white flesh that is slow to turn brown when cut.
Use: Fresh eating apple, ideal for pies, applesauce and salads.
Hardiness: Zone 3.
Ripening: Harvest in late September.
Pollination: Needs a pollenizer.
