Iris pseudacorus Variegata

Iris pseudacorus grows tall with nectar rich flowers. The yellow flag iris grows best in very wet conditions. Water flag iris is a prolific marginal water plant, propagates easily from its rhizomes and water dispersed seeds and supports high salinity, submersion, prolonged dry periods, low pH and anoxic soils. The roots and leaves of this iris species are poisonous. The plant is used for water treatment due to its ability to take up macronutrients through its roots.
