Selected seedling from the Arizona 861 citron. This is a seedling citron budline produced through CCPP and found to be especially sensitive as an indicator for mild citron viroids.
Typical citron size and elongated egg shape. Flesh seedy, dry, but does have surprising amount of juice, which is tart, but has a bit of sweetness to it. Rind has floral aroma, with some sweetness, but a bitter aftertaste.
CRC 1449 Citremon and Yuma Ponderosa lemon may be used as rootstocks of accession. Ripening season is November to January in California.
