Mulberry Tree - Mûrier

Mulberries bud from alluring big trees that grow fast to reach up to 24 metres, some with elegant weeping traits. Morus is the favoured food of the silkworm. Fruits come in black, red and white, use for desserts and herbal tea. Unrelated to blackberries, mulberry trees are better suited for warm regions. Prune tree after fruiting to let light and air into the canopy. Mulberry plants fruit readily even in part shade. Fruits are a source of food for birds and branches are well-liked by chicken to roost.

Plants are about 2.5 metres tall and of fruit bearing age.
