Brookfield® Gala Apple

Brookfield® is a sport of Gala, the well known New Zealand native, selected for improved colouring and earlier ripening. Out of the top three commercial apple varieties worldwide, Ambrosia, Gala and Honeycrisp, Brookfield® Gala is the first to ripen.

Flavor: Sweet, slightly tart harmonious flavor with a crisp firm texture.
Fruit: A vibrant red coloured apple with bold dark red stripes.
Storage: Flavor and texture are retained for an extended period of time.
Use: Fresh eating, salads, baking, and other culinary applications.
Hardiness: Zone 4.
Ripening: Harvest in mid September.
Pollination: Self fertile, cross pollination with other varieties can lead to better yields.
