Dancy Tangerine Plant

Intense, medium sweet flavour, and juice more strongly-flavoured than orange juice. Loose, pliable peel, with very little bitter white mesocarp (albedo, or pith). This allows the peel to be eaten fresh and used to flavour dishes. Dancy originated as a seedling, a pure mandarin, unlike many commercial citrus cultivars, which are hybrids.
