This seedling of H. 'Miss Susie' has brilliant yellow leaves that contrast with the red petioles. Incredibly striking in the spring as the brilliant yellow leaves emerge from contrasting deep wine red shoots. As the leaves emerge, the tips of the leaves are tinged red. Holds on to its yellow color longer into the season than other red petiole gold varieties.
