Iris ensata Tiramisu

Iris ensata, endemic to far East Asia, is a prized ornamental plant that has been intensively hybridized to produce numerous bred cultivars with 6’’ large flowers and a wide range of colours. The Japanese water iris, hanashōbu, forms very hardy rhizome clumps and prefers low pH wet soils, ideal for marginal pond planting and water gardens.
