Citrus sinensis.

 'Thomson' is a selection of 'Parent Washington' that differs in being earlier than 'PW', however with fruit that do not hang well and do not color as well as 'PW'. The tree is also less vigorous than 'PW'. (The Citrus Industry, 1967, 1:483). This selection is supposed to be earlier maturing with good color and production than the original 'Thomson'.

Rootstocks of accession:  Carrizo citrange, C-35 citrange.

Season of ripeness at Riverside, California:  November to January.
