Syringa x hyacinthiflora 'SMNSHSO' is one of the most fragrant lilacs on the market due to its hyacinthiflora parentage. The crisp, clean purple flowers have an old world charm while the disease resistant foliage hints at its modern breeding. This lilac cultivar is adaptable to a larger geographical climate range and relatively tolerant to heat. The plant thrives in the coldest climates, all the way up into the lower chill climates of the warmer USDA growing zone 8.
