Cabbages - Choux

Cabbage is a tight leafed brassica hybrid concentrated on leaf buds of the plant. Cabbages grow to considerable sizes especially in regions with long summer days. Store cabbage for a long time, at room temperature and in the fridge after cutting into the vegetable. Plant in mass for visual art, increase ornamental value by planting coloured and textured green cabbage, white cabbage, red cabbage, purple cabbage, variegated multicoloured cabbage, conical cabbage, round cabbage, large flat cabbage and savoy cabbage together. Cabbage is a biannual flowering plant in temperate regions, blooming in the second year after a cold winter. Eat raw, cooked and pickled.
