Kategorie: Ranunculus Corms - Cormes de Renoncule
Ranunculus is found in both hemispheres as ornamental plants or weeds. Selected cultivars are important in horticulture due to their large, brightly coloured, highly lustrous flowers. The mirror-like effect is caused by the petals' upper surface being very smooth; this aids in attracting pollinators and temperature regulation. Ranunculus is partial to water, some wild varieties grow in still or running water. Ranunculus foliage is the food source of the larvae of some Lepidoptera species. All species of fresh Ranunculus are poisonous to livestock, the toxins disappear when the plant is dried.
