Hydroculture trays provide a solid foundation for crop cultivation with ebb and flow and top feed drip fertigation hydroponic set ups and to grow microgreens and propagate plants via cuttings and seed.

Ebb and flow hydroculture employs flooding and draining a flat tray or table to provide water based nutrition to the rhizosphere of plants, held in a pot filled with a porous hydroponic growing medium to allow roots to uptake nutrients and water. The nutrient solution may be drained to waste or automatically recirculated using a pump and after the mineral composition of the water is reestablished to a set parameter in a common reservoir.

Top feed drip fertigation employs tubing that automatically slowly distributes the nutrient rich solution to the plant rhizosphere with a tray to catch excess solution that is remixed in a reservoir and recirculated with a pump.
