Bay Scallop Seed MA

Argopecten irradians has as common names Atlantic bay scallop, bay scallop, and blue eyed scallop.

A species of marine bivalve mollusc in the family Pectinidae, this edible saltwater clam, is native to the northwest Atlantic, with very different developmental stages in the northern extreme and southern extreme of its habitat range.

Bay scallop brood stock are selected annually for growth, meat yield and coloration from many generations of production on our farms. Native stock is regularly introduced from native Cape Cod bay scallop populations.

Available late June into August.
