Holstein is a heirloom apple variety discovered in 1918 in Hamburg, Germany. The vigorous, scab resistant triploid apple tree is thought to be a seedling of Cox Orange Pippin.
Flavor: Highly aromatic with a delightful mixture of sweet and tart flavours and a hint of pineapple.
Fruit: Medium large mottled orange fruit.
Storage: Good keeper.
Use: Prized fresh eating apple that makes for flavourful juice.
