Indio Mandarinquat Plant

Citrus unshiu x juniperina 'Indio' is a hardy, productive hybrid between a Nagami kumquat and a Dancy mandarin, known for its large, bell-shaped, orange fruit with sweet, edible rinds. Sweeter than a traditional kumquat; sweet, tangy rind with a somewhat tart flesh, often used in marmalades, syrups, or fresh snacking. Thrives in well-draining soil, slightly acidic soil, full sun, and is known for being cold-hardy down to roughly -8ºC/ 18ºF.
