Prairifire Crabapple

Prairifire crab apple trees have the deepest crimson pink blooms of any flowering crab apple. Apples being among the most challenging fruits to grow organically, Prairifire is noted as one of the most disease resistant, rarely showing any problems from scab and other issues. The exquisite flower extravaganza arrives a little later and stays a little longer than most apple trees, turning into ½" dark red fruits that do not drop quickly. Maroon colour foliage fades out into deep green during the summer.
The upright, spreading, rounded tree generally matures at 6m/ 20’ high and 6m/ 20’ wide.
Hardy down to zone 4.
Self fertile plant.
