Deeply pitted, bumpy, and thick-rinded citrus, typically with a bumpy collar or neck. The fruit is very acidic and sour, sometimes with a slightly sweet tangerine-like aftertaste, used in some culinary applications. This citrus variety is pimarily used as a vigorous rootstock in hot dry citrus growing regions of the world.
Season of ripeness in the Riverside climate: Rough lemons generally ripen between October and November.
