Peony Plants

Paeonia are late spring to early summer flowering herbaceous perennial plants or deciduous woody shrubs. The flowers have a short blooming season, usually lasting for only 7 to 10 days, however the blooms are big and showy, with a wide variety of colours. Peony flowers are grown as cut flowers on a large scale. Paeonies naturally occur in the temperate and cold areas of the Northern Hemisphere and are of significant importance for horticulture in cold regions of the world for their large, often fragrant, blooms and long lived plants.
