Collection: Erythronium Dens-Canis Bulbs
Erythronium dens-canis is a perennial herbaceous bulbous flowering plant native to southern and central Europe. Erythronium is found in damp locations with light shade like deciduous woodlands. Brown spotted leaves emerge in pairs from an oblong bulb to give rise to a solitary flower. This plant can survive extreme cold winter temperatures. The leaves are consumed raw or cooked. Starch from the bulb is used as one of the ingredients of vermicelli.
