Collection: Nutrient Film Technique NFT Hydroponic Systems

The Nutrient Film Technique, NFT, employs a continuous flow of water enriched with essential nutrients for plant growth actively recirculated within shallow channels past bare roots of plants suspended via net pots, with the upper region of the channels exposed to air for so that oxygen reaches the rhizosphere in abundance.
The hydroponics method is applied to grow short term crops with small root systems like lettuce, spinach, rainbow chard, sorrel, mâche, frisée, other salad leafy greens, pak choi, tatsoi, raddish, watercress, mizuna, other brassicas, beetroot, strawberries, carnations or dianthus, pansies, nasturtiums, other cut flowers to be potted up and smaller edible flower plants, celery, basil, parsley, cilantro and other aromatic culinary fine herbs.
