Hoyt Montrose Apricot

Hoyt Montrose, a hardy, frost resistant apricot variety from northern Idaho, is a seedling of the original Montrose apricot was discovered in Colorado. The vigorous and precocious apricot tree sets fruit successfully in marginal lands and flowers late with a prolonged blooming time.

Fruit: 5cm/ 2” sized apricots with sweet, juicy, yellow flesh.
Use: Fresh eating, preserve cooked with sugar and dehydrate into dried apricot.
Hardiness: Zone 4.
Ripening time: Harvest in early August.
Pollination: Self fertile.
Predominant characteristic: Late blooming apricot.
