Lacinato Kale

An elegant heirloom for both the vegetable patch and ornamental garden, Lacinato Kale sends long, dark green leaves from its central stem in a striking, plume-like display. Also known as Dinosaur Kale for its distinctive, prehistoric appearance, this Mediterranean heirloom grows up to 1 m (3 ft) tall, with deeply blistered, strap-like leaves. Frost-hardy in the garden, its leaves become tender when cooked. Sow in your organic vegetable garden and enjoy harvests from summer into fall.
