Portola Day Neutral Strawberry

University of California Davis Portola strawberry plants are vigorous, may require a relatively lower plant density and feature broad adaptability. Due to its particular strong flowering response, Portola is especially well adapted to spring and summer planting systems and can also be used in standard winter planting systems, where it initiates fruiting slightly earlier in the season. Portola strawberries are large, light red and shiny with excellent flavour consistent throughout the fruiting season. Portola has a good disease resistance profile although the fruits are slightly less tolerant to rain. Good strawberry variety for the fresh and commercial markets.
